Often while working with students and other QT practitioners, reminders can be effective. Recently I was able to provide some clarity regarding distant healing and how tapping into the "body sensations" running the energy can create. The greatest challenge to this work appears to be how to impart letting go of the critical thinking mind while running energy. Now, often folks misunderstand this term "critical thinking mind" and directly associate it with the concept of being critical. This is not the case, however. For the purposes of this work "Analytical" and "Critical Thinking" are invariably interchangeable. So, we suspend all judgement when we employ this type of energy therapy as we must learn to trust the innate wisdom or body intelligence or, what theoretical physicist and Nobel laureate Max Planck says is, the presence of a Higher Consciousness in every cell of the body. When we trust this and drop down out of our mind and into "body sensation" fully accepting this to be our barometer for the work, magical things can appear to happen... and often do! But, this seeming magic is happening at the "quantum" level or the level of pure energy which is what science now admits "everything" is comprised of at its essence. Then these changes can work their way up through the grosser levels of our existence or up through the fluid, soft tissue and denser construction of the body until we return the body to a natural homeostasis or balance.
The mind, although a wonderful and necessary tool, can also be an obstacle to freedom! Freedom from struggle, freedom from pain and freedom from repetitive noise that can jam up the natural flow of the Life Force and the healing properties it can provide. If we are spending time thinking and analyzing and trying to figure things out we are impeding the natural flow of energy to areas where it may be needed. We have an expression in energy healing which is very true and that is "energy follows thought". Therefore if we are up in our heads then we are robbing the rest of the body or the part of the body that needs that energy for healing. Trusting innate wisdom to do what it already knows how to do and getting lost in the body sensations conjured up by the technique, is a much more productive attitude for the results we may wish to obtain.
Allowing or giving oneself permission to "feel" and "trust" what we are feeling takes practice as we have been the slave of the mind for the better part of our lives likely since the age of reason or about 6 years old. Prior to this time we were much more open to our instinctive or feeling natures which is what we re-learn and resurrect by getting in touch with our innate abilities.
You see, we "all" have the same abilities and that is the most important point we can learn in energy healing... we are all given the same gifts for healing and can learn to employ them with a little guidance and even more practice. Once we have an experience that puts us in touch with the less analytical part of our being then we have a reference marker and can employ analytical thinking less and less and trust our "beingness" or feeling state more and more.
So in summing up, the reminder that I feel can be most effective is to trust the body as it is never wrong and does not know how to lie but your mind can trick you again and again.
